Alcohol Level Equals Heavy Fine

Alcohol Equals Heavy Fine!!!

Yes, everybody knows driving after drinking alcohol is one of the best way to have get yourself a fine ticket, have your license suspended and your vehicle be confiscated at worst. Not only you have to pay for the unwanted mistake, you might have to pay for things including car/bike keeping fee, repairing and sometimes even tow/delivery fee as well.

1/ How much is the alcohol level in your blood to legally drive in Vietnam?

The answer is NO, you cannot drive anything (even a bicycle) when you already consume alcohol beverage (Beer, whiskey, vodka or Guinness).

In Vietnam, driving while having a mouth filled with the smell of beer can lead you to a really big trouble when the police men find you. You may ask yourself why there are so many drunkards on the road and they only see you as their only target.

Once you are caught red-handed, there’s nothing you can do about it. You wished you had never drunk too much beer to win your friends’ bet and now you are the only person in the world gets the unfairness. Life has ups and downs, so don’t complain too much about it and continue reading.

2/ How much is the fine per level of alcohol in your blood?

Based on the most current regulations; even if you only drink one glass, one bottle or one can of beer or alcohol, the amount of money you have to pay will always be ridiculously high for no reason and a 100% chance your driver’s license will be suspended up to 3 years.

The more you drink, the heavier the fine. Sometimes you might end up losing your vehicle as well.

It’s always better not to drown yourself into the pleasure of drinking beer when you know you have to ride home on your own vehicle. If you are going to have the longest drink for the night, please book a taxi or a motorbike taxi (in Vietnam, motorbike taxi is the cheapest way to go around).

Xanh SM is one of the newly motorbike taxi brands from Vietnam.

3/ How to minimize the amount of fine?

Unfortunately, there aren’t many solutions to “un-do” when the situation gets worse.

However, there are a few things you need to know in order to avoid it. Other than that, no one would mindlessly ride without cautions. However, driving without a license is even more dangerous and riskier, as you would regret not having a motorbike license to prevent the fine level from getting higher.
