If you would to check your license is real or fake, you can check it out on the website of the Government. When you do the test at the Test Center, it means your license is real. 4 Options to get Vietnamese license
Option 1 : Convert your license into Vietnamese Motorbike license and Car License
What you will need:
– Your valid Passport (for more than 6 months).
– Temporary Resident Card (TRC).
– Your Country License (Still need validation for at least 3 months, have class A and B).
When you come to convert your license, make sure you wear long pant and shirt with sleeves to take a picture for your new Vietnamese License.
After you convert your License, within 10 – 12 days you will receive your Vietnamese Car and Motorbike license.
*Doesn’t need to do health check
* Your expiry date will be the same as your TRC/Visa (Which date comes first will expire first).

Option 2: Convert your driving license and doing the practical test
What you will need:
– Your valid Passport (for more than 6 months)
– Temporary Resident Card (TRC)
– Your Country License (Valid for atleast 3 months and above)
After you convert your License, within 10 – 12 days you will receive your Vietnamese Car license.
Next Step will be health check and register the motorbike driving test.
Before coming to the Hospital to do health check, you will need to prepare 5 pictures with blue background (3×4 size). Where should you take this picture?
~ The address nearest to Thao Dien is : 64B3 Xuan Thuy St., Thao Dien Ward, District 2.
Health check will be in a different form because it’s for your license, including:
- Overall check up
- Eyes test
- Urine test (this is drug test for Marijuana, Cocain and Morphine)
*If your test result failed because of drug test, you will need at least a month before coming back to the hospital,

After your health check, DC team will help you to register the driving test. The practical test will include 4 tests: Figured of 8, straight line, zigzag and the bumpy.
Figured of 8 size in reality:

If incase of unfortunate event and you fail, to redo the test (theorical and practical) each test costs 300.000VND to retaking it again the following week.
The practical test for A1 you will do with Semi Automatic bike 110cc Honda Wave at the Test Center.
After you pass your A1 driving license test, 3 weeks after you passed it the Test Center will issue your physical license (3 weeks doesn’t include Vietnamese holiday and Tet holiday)

Option 3: Get your Vietnamese Motorbike license for a lifetime: A1 License ( 50cc<175cc )
If you have these class below, your license cannot be converted to Vietnamese Car License (For Canada, UK…)
- GM1, L : Learner
- Provisional Driver license (DL)
- M1
- M2(M)
What you will need to have :
– Your valid Passport (for more than 6 months).
– Visa that are valid for more than 1 month and above.
– Or Temporary Resident Card (TRC).
– Willing to learn Vietnamese.
When you come and train with us, our staffs will help you to pass the Vietnamese Theory test by showing you tips and tricks that you can just apply for yourself to pass the Theorical Test.
The training will take around 2 – 3 weeks depending on your level (If you have some knowledge of Vietnamese it takes you around 2 weeks).
After your training, there will be a mock test that is exactly like how the Test Center offer and that you can come and do it on our computer at DC Motorbikes.
Before you come to our training, you will need to prepare:
–5 pictures 3×4 with the blue back ground. You can take this picture also in Thao Dien

The Step will be :
- Training for A1
- Do the mock test in our website at DC Motorbikes
- Apply for health check
- Register the test at our Test Center
- After you pass both Theory and Practical test, another 3 weeks you will get your Physical Card of A1 Lifetime License
If incase of unfortunate event and you fail, to redo the test (theorical and practical) each test costs 300.000VND to retaking it again the following week.
After you pass your A1 driving license test, 3 weeks after you passed it the Test Center will issue your physical license (3 weeks doesn’t include Vietnamese holiday and Tet holiday)
Price: 9.000.000VND

Option 4: Get your Vietnamese Motorbike license for a lifetime: A2 License ( 175cc and above )
What you will need:
– Your valid Passport (for more than 6 months)
– Visa that are valid for more than 1 month and above.
– Or Temporary Resident Card (TRC)
– Willing to learn Vietnamese.
When you come and train with us , our staffs will help you to pass the Vietnamese Theory test by showing you tips and tricks that you can just apply for yourself to pass the Theorical Test.
Same like A1 License – The training now with A2 will take around 3 – 4 weeks depending on your level (If you have some knowledge of Vietnamese it takes you around 2 weeks)
The training for A2 will have 450 questions, 50 questions will be mandatory (and you can NEVER make a mistake) in which the test will have 25 questions. You will need to pass with the minimum score of 23/25.
The Test Center bike is the Honda Rebel 200cc (and of course they are very old). With this test you will need to pass with the minimum score of 80/100. Each mistake you make (like crossing the line, feet touch the ground) will be 5 points and you have 4 mistakes to make.
After your training, there will be a mock test that is exactly like how the Test Center tests are and that you can come and do it on our computer at DC Motorbikes.
Please prepare :
- 5 pictures 3×4 with the blue background before you come train with us.
- We do require you to know how to drive manual bike.
- But if you don’t, we offer 700k/90 minutes at our driving school Ride With Me Sai Gon.
The Step will be :
- Training for A2
- Apply for health check
- Register the test at our Test Center
- After you pass both Theory and Practical test, another 3 weeks you will get your Physical Card of A2 Lifetime License
If incase of unfortunate event and you fail, to redo the test (theorical and practical) each test costs 300.000VND to retaking it again the following week.
After you pass your A1 driving license test, 3 weeks after you passed it the Test Center will issue your physical license (3 weeks doesn’t include Vietnamese holiday and Tet holiday)
