Vietnamese driver’s license service is one of the most prominent services offered by DC Motorbikes in Ho Chi Minh City. Over the years of business operation, DC Motorbikes has earned the trust of its customers, and our reputation has spread to Hanoi. Recognizing the growing need for obtaining license in Hanoi – a major city in Vietnam and a hub for many foreigners. DC Motorbikes decided to expand its Vietnamese Driving License service to this capital city.
How did DC Motorbikes bring Vietnamese driver’s license service to Hanoi
Starting in Octorber 2023, our team spent a whole month in Hanoi. As the laws in Vietnam can vary across different cities, we went through a difficult time to learn and work with the test centers and government agencies.
After facing some initial challenges in finding the right test centers, we came back in December for the first test session.
Fortunately, the first customers who took the A2 test in Hanoi were able to pass successfully
On the Christmas day,December 24th, DC’s next customers took the A1 test, despite the cold and terrible weather conditions at the time.

Get vietnamese driver’s license in Hanoi by using DC Motorbikes’s service
Over the past 6 months, DC Motorbikes has continued to assist many customers in Hanoi in obtaining their Vietnamese driver’s licenses. To date, DC Motorbikes has helped around 200 customers get Vietnamese driver’s license in Hanoi.There are even customers who are from other provinces.

Option 1: Obtain a Lifetime Vietnamese Motorbike license A1/A2 through Full Examination (Theory and Practical)
If you do not have an international driving license and intend to stay in Vietnam for a long time, you can register for the first-time driving test. If you wish to use DC Motorbikes’ Vietnamese driving license service, we will train you through online sessions on Google Meet. All you need to prepare includes your Passport, Temporary Residence Card (TRC), Visa, and knowledge of Vietnamese. If you haven’t learned it, DC Motorbikes will provide training.
Option 2 : Convert your license into Vietnamese Motorbike license and Car License
If your Country License have available class A1 and A2
Before you convert, here’s what you will need:
- A valid passport (with more than 6 months remaining).
- A Temporary Residence Card (TRC).
- Your Country driving license (must still be valid for at least 3 months, class A and B).
Option 3: Convert Your Country’s Driver’s license and Take a Practical Driving Test
Similar to option 2. However:
Your country driving license is only for cars and does not include class A1, then you must take a practical test.
You will need to complete two additional steps: a health check, the practical driving test.
During the process of completing the procedures or stages, there will definitely be a guide accompanying and assisting you until you finish the process.
