Only International Driving Permit 1968 and Vietnamese A1/A2 licenses are considered valid in Vietnam.
If you already have a valid license from your home country and Temporary Residence Card, it can takes as
early as 10 days to convert your license.
The fines for individuals driving motorbike without a valid license is between 8-10 million VND (Starting
01/01/2025).
In Vietnam, you can drive 50cc bikes without a license. The most popular models are Kymco Like 50, Candy
Hermosa and Vinfast EVO 200 Lite/ Klara S.
You can get a lifetime A1 license (up to 125cc) by converting your home country car license with passport
+ TRC to Vietnamese B1 and apply for a practical motorbike test. You heard that right, NO THEORY
REQUIRED. But if you only have TRC or wants an A2 lifetime license (above 125cc), then you need to take
both theory and practical tests.
If you are a complete beginner, no worries because our instructors can help you learn the basics of
driving a motorbike in Vietnam. Pss…you just need to know how to ride a bicycle first.
Our rental prices are already included with rental of the bike, helmets and/or raincoats, roadside
assistance during business hours, and we accommodate all mechanic issues/ regular bike services and
maintenance.
